The year 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

was a very spe\u00adcial year, also for us. We ran the risk of being com\u00adplete\u00adly thwart\u00aded in our activ\u00adi\u00adties by the Coro\u00adna pan\u00addem\u00adic. But: We saw and used the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to under\u00adstand this dan\u00adger as a chance and to set out for new shores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our pre\u00advi\u00adous col\u00adlec\u00adtion man\u00adage\u00adment sys\u00adtem (MDAT-COLL) had not been main\u00adtained for sev\u00ader\u00adal years. There was a need for action. Ste\u00adfan Schorn, togeth\u00ader with a small group of friends, devel\u00adoped a new and mod\u00adern data\u00adbase sys\u00adtem for the admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion and doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of col\u00adlec\u00adtions of all kinds, to which we gave the name GEOLITHO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our liththek, which had grown to over 53,000 objects after twen\u00adty years of exis\u00adtence, is the first col\u00adlec\u00adtion to use Geolitho. As expect\u00aded, the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion was not with\u00adout prob\u00adlems, but the effort was worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, we were able to use the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty to work on the lithotheque for sev\u00ader\u00adal peo\u00adple, inde\u00adpen\u00addent of loca\u00adtion and at the same time. This has e.g. the advan\u00adtage that \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
