You can download your data to your computer at any time. The backup secures the data of the collection that is currently open. Whenever possible, always back up your data and documents at the same time. This gives you a consistent dataset.
Open the collection you want to back up. Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines at the top left). Then click the menu item “Backup SQL Daten”. After a short moment, a file named geolitho-(GUSID of your collection).sql will be downloaded. Depending on the size of the collection, this may take more or less time. The file contains all your data in SQL format, ready for import into suitable tables. Using these datasets, we can also re-import your data online.
In addition to your entered data, you must also back up your uploaded documents. You should do this regardless of whether you still have the files stored locally. In the online system they have different names, and otherwise the assignment would be lost.
Open the collection you want to back up. Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines at the top left). Then click the menu item “Dateien sichern”. The file export dialog opens. Click the green “Start” button.
Your data will then be collected and compressed into a .zip file. Once this is finished, a “Herunterladen” link will appear, allowing you to save the file to your computer. The entire process can take a very long time for collections with many documents.
GeoLitho performs daily backups of all data. In case of an error, this usually allows us to restore the data from the previous day. In addition, there is a multi-level concept that also makes it possible to restore older data. In case of an incident, only the entire collection can be restored.
Backups performed by GeoLitho do not relieve you of the responsibility to perform regular backups yourself.
